Flipped Blocks

In flipped blocks, one half is a mirror image of the other only for a line drawn from corner to another.

Put another way, flipped blocks look as though half the design has been flipped over. Quite often, a single flipped block is made up of two pairs of two different designs.

Tic Tac Toe, for instance, is made up of two pairs of identical blocks. Take two lines of four blocks each:




Flip every other block:




You now have 4 Tic Tac Toe blocks.
