When quarter-circle blocks are turned to form twisting lines of curves and corners, the pattern is usually called a Drunkard's Path. The look varies with the proportion of a block the quarter-circle occupies.

The quarter circle in a Drunkard's Path block can be just about any size. Quilters usually ignore the size when they identify the design.

There are, however, different names for the patterns when they have different quarter-circle sizes. If you'd like to know more, we recommend designer Jinny Beyer's book Quilter's Album of Patchwork Patterns (Breckling Press, 2009).
