Coffee Cup/The Cup & Saucer KCS, 1935
This 1935 block from the Kansas City Star also found a home as Coffee Cup in Carrie Hall's quilt-block collection (now in the Spencer Museum of Art at the University of Kansas); The Cup & Saucer is from a Star column of 1946.
The cup in the block at left is a little bit shorter and less tapered than the cup in both Hall's and the Star's blocks. We did our best.

The Workbox
#358, 1897
The Work BoxThis block is from the Ladies Art Company — No. 358, which means that it was in the company's first illustrated catalog, in 1897.
It could just as easily be called "Toy Box" for a child's quilt.
